About Rolfing® si

Rolfing® Structural Integration (SI) is a form of manual therapy whose goal is to open, balance, and align the body by working the connective tissue. SI was developed and practiced by Dr. Rolf in the 1940s.

Instead of working with specific muscles, a Certified Rolfer® works with fascia, which is the webbing that surrounds and supports all muscles, ligaments, tendons, bones, nerves, and organs. Rolfing® is a holistic practice that emphasizes whole body structural integration and functional flexibility, mobility, and efficiency.

Over our lifetime, we develop various holding patterns due to poor posture, accidents, injuries, various life stressors and traumas. As a result, the fascia can restrict the body from moving freely which may cause tightness, pain, or other discomfort throughout the body.

Rolfing® and The Ten Series

Dr. Rolf originally developed Rolfing® SI to take place over the course of ten sessions, each session building upon the last. It is an individualized approach to viewing a person’s structure and function in regards to their pain and injury history.

This is the gospel of Rolfing: When the body gets working appropriately, the force of gravity can flow through. Then, spontaneously, the body heals itself.

about Cadie

I am a Certified Rolfer® and a Practitioner of Visceral and Neural Manipulation. My mission is to help clients feel better in their bodies, increase body (sensory) awareness, and experience better ease of movement, posture, and alignment. I learn something new from each client I encounter, which deepens my curiosity for the human body, the human experience, and how we all experience and adapt to life in different ways. I believe that what affects the mind affects the body and vice versa; that our life experiences shape us physically, mentally, and spiritually.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my dogs Emmie, Luke and Hector, a Mountain Cur, a Belgian Malinois and a Rhodesian Ridgeback.
